Sopapilla Cheesecake

Want to try a super easy recipe that you will LOVE? Try this Sopapilla Cheesecake. I am currently spending my Labor Day weekend in Mexico. I’ve always loved sopapillas which is a deep-fried pastry. It can be either sweet or savory. I love sweet sopapillas with cinnamon sugar. However, deep frying pastries takes more time and energy than I want to do during my mini vacay.

So I tried this simple recipe that I found on Pillsbury’s website.

This is the most simplest recipes to do with only 6 ingredients.

16 ounces cream cheese

2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Recipe Creations refrigerated seamless dough sheet

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup cinnamon sugar

Step 1

Unroll one package of the Pillsbury Crescent Recipe Creations refrigerated seamless dough into a 9 x 13 ungreased pan.

Step 2

Mix together the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla.

Step 3

Spread over the crescent rolls.

Step 4

Unroll the other can of crescent rolls and place on top of the cream cheese mixture.

Step 5

Pour one stick of melted butter over top and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture. (I just couldn’t use a whole stick of butter on top… I did 5 tablespoons)

Step 6

Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

That’s it! So simple and so good!
